Who has used or is currently using it. Also pros and cons of it. I hear it takes 500 miles to break in.

I am. The first few rides with it were wild. Packing wheelies and trenching. It seemed to mellow out some after a few hundred miles. I am running it with boost. I think the powerclaw 3" is just as good. If I had the 3" I wouldn't switch. If I needed a track I would probably do the 280 again because it is cheap for one and it works decent in my snow. On a stock sled the lightness of if would probably be more noticeable than it is for me so that would be another bonus.

What do you have it on?

16 with all of the 17 mountain cat updates.

I put it on the same time I did the mountain cat drop and roll and still thought it trenched more than the stock 3" and driver position. Once it broke in it definitely improved.

I'm looking at upgrading tracks on my sled this year and have been contemplating between the 280 and a 3" PC. Currently have a 162 2.6 PC on my big bore 2014/2017 conversion. The additional weight loss of the 280 is really attractive, but I know where I could get a 3" PC for $500 and I know they work really well and are fairly durable. The weight loss doesn't do much good if it doesn't perform any better. My friend put a 280 on his 2016 LE, but haven't had a chance to compare it back to back with a sled with the 3" PC on it to see if it really is an improvement.

Jakey: Are you running a 153 or 162? I thought my dad's stock 2016 LE 153 trenched worse than my 2014 with the 162 2.6. My skid was setup pretty well though so that may have been a factor. Any noticeable difference in maneuverability?

Mine is a 162.

I also have a 153 2.6. Without question the 2.6 trenches far worse than either of the other tracks and its not just the length difference I have also compared 153 3". Either one will be an improvement for you over the 2.6.

Your dad needs to get his skid setup if the 2.6 outperformed the 3"

Cut the extra fingers off the 2.6 like how the 3" comes and that trenching goes away.

As to the conquer, my buddy put one on his '15 big bored pro last season and I wasn't that impressed. It was a step up from his stock series 5 or whatever track, but It didn't do anything any better than my cut 2.6. My cat is stock powered 153 and was hanging with his bb 163 pro all season. I know its a different sled, but from what I seen I wouldn't swap a 2.6 or 3" pc for the conquer.

I've seen and heard of reliability issues. They tear easy. Also seen a modded 12 with a 2.6 out run a 16 that had a 925bb with the 2.8. The only thing we could think of was the track is ****. The 925 had the helium kit. It was lighter and had more power but it couldn't out run the 180hp 2012 with the 2.6.

Even seen burandt had the track on his sleds for weight, says they were the **** but I never seen them on his sled again

Have it on my 2016 162 and worked decent last year. even when new, it worked better than a 2016 162 2.6 and after 400 miles it was close to a mountain cat 162 with 3". If i had the dropped chaincase i think it would be even with the mountain cat in most conditions. But I have found it struggles more in softer deep snow than other styles of 3" tracks like the x3 but it does work better than the x3 in a wider range of conditions like wet or setup snow.

If you already have a 3" I would not switch to the 2.8 but it is an upgrade over the 2.6. If I had to do it again I would try the 3.2 for deep snow but it works for what I need and not worth switching now
