What were you running for rpm? What elevation ? Temp?

Track ?

I'm also running tbe side kick on axys 163 3", pulling 8600-8750 rpm at 7000ft 10 degrees

Seems to high to me. Feels like it going to self destruct. Running to good!!!

More weight!

Where is the rev limiter at? Does the kit up the rev limiter? I have actually heard the Axys likes rpm with a turbo, I have heard some of the builders are shooting for around 8600rpm. You might just be in the sweet spot...

I've talked to boondocker bout it, they said its fine maybe a hair high and just to to run it. I think I will keep an orange spring with me just in case. I know that on certain conditions its going to be favoring 8750-8800. When it's cranking 8600 it feels bout right, but when it cranking 8750 you pretty much know without looking at the tach that is turning to many r's. Probably pick up some track speed in those conditions by simply changing to a little softer primary spring.

Anyone else noticed their rpm with boondocker sidekick on axys?

I was running 8800 and some times hitting the Rev limiter. So I went up in weight. I was told to run 8650-8700. I am running the oiless turbo too.

Here is a video of my gauge climbing a hill, towards the end of the video it hits the rev limiter (according to BD rev li
Limiter is set at 9000. This was after changing primary springs from a 165/327 to a 158/290

Yeah I don't know. But it does run better up there. I was 5-7k at 70.3 grams and was 8400-8550. It feels better to me up at 8650. I'm going to try a half gram less for tomorrow to keep it there.

Another question... Are you guys running in non-eth or eth mode? It runs way better in non-eth. Last trip out I was able to hit det in both modes. Beginning of the day switch the eth mode and it stopped. Then the end of the day near the bottom of the tank it would hit in both modes at WOT. Going to run a couple gallons of av in tomorrows tank and see what happens. Anyone else hit det? Wondering if I got a bad tank of fuel. (91 non eth fuel)

and you run it in non-eth mode right? what alt?

Yes 91 non mode, and 6-9k ft. My buddy just installed same kit on his 156 2.6 clutching is spot on. I'm thinking our lower gears for the three inch is why we are running a little more rpm than him. ( granted every sled is different)

Link doesn't work for me.... Boondocker must be raising the rev limiter some how?? Or do you have GT tuner on yours?

I've been running it in the ethanol mode. Ride from 6000-9500 ft typically. I run 91 non ethanol fuel and have been putting 2 gallons of race gas in as well. I haven't seen over 8650 RPM haven't hit the Rev limiter or had any issues with mine.

Well had a great day of riding today. Ran %10 mix 100LL with 92 non eth for most of the day. It didn't seam to like it. It wasn't as snappy. I now know I got a bad tank of fuel last time out to cause the det. Once I was back running 92 non-eth it ran perfect at 8650 rpm's. With %10 AV gas I was only pulling 8400 max and often lower.

Supposedly the DET sensor on the Axys is really sensitive... I know some are running the GT tuner just to pull back the DET sensor a little bit. Wish BD would just do the ECU relflash in house with this kit for free, like they used to. Don't understand why now you have to by the whole tuner.

Are these kits tunnel dump or can you get stock location? I am a huge fan of the bd tunnel dumps but I would rather keep my electric start.
