Boondocker Tunnel Dump

I am working on installing the Boondocker tunnel dump on my turbo 09 M1000. I have cut the foot well, I would say more then the instructions call for, and I still cannot get the muffler installed. It just seems like to feed it through the foot guard it will never line up with the hole in the tunnel. Is there any secrets or a twisting motion I need to do to get it all lined up and through the holes. Any help with this would be great. Thanks.

I am pretty sure you need to hog out/cut the footwell braces. I know I did on my M8. The top front of the foot well brace is the main area. Mine is actually broken/cut on the top, and it still rubs slightly, but getting it in there was no big deal...

I had the Boonie tunnel dump on my TM901

and the inside of my footwell braces, or the big aluminum Box behind the footwell part of the running boards near the brake rotor were cut out.
