i've ridden for years on 800's and have a few friends who geared down their 700 rmks saying they felt the grunt was closer to an 800 after having done so. any thoughts on the advantages of doing this with the new 800?:juggle:

I have a couple rides on the Pro. I think you should ride it before making that decision. It really gets off the line well even with the 5.1 track. I think the motor works great with the light weight of the chassis.

Like bugito says, Just ride it first and see what it does. I am gonna do the same to mine. But I ride a lot of tree's and usually gear it down one tooth. But again this is a new machine. So time in the saddle will tell.

i was thinking about one tooth myself. the sleds that have done this really rip down low and didnt seem to give up much on the top end but again they were the 700's
