I just had my sled into dealer for a pre-season service. I picked it up after-hours and reverse did not work. It was idling low (1350-1400 rpm.) As soon as I tapped the throttle it revs up and returns to a high idle (2250-2400.) I tried to recreate this in the garage once I got it home to make a video.

While it was at the dealership they told me the TPS was reading "Unrealistic." I am not sure what this means. They tried to replace it but said the problem was not fixed and they would have to replace the throttle bodies, which include a new TPS. I opted out of the new throttle bodies since it ran well when I took it in and I don't want to stick a pile of money into a 6 year old sled. So they reinstalled the old TPS, per my direction.

Now I have a sled that idles goofy and no reverse! I am somewhat disappointed that they returned it to me like this without telling me. However I realize that I also directed them to install the old part. The other kicker is they are 7 hours away so I can't very easily drop it back off for them to look at.

I need help! should i try to adjust the TPS and go from there?

TPS first. The check injectors and reeds.

I am pretty sure it’s tps. My 12 was always going out of whack.

Thank you. I should have mentioned that I had them install new VForce3R reeds while they had it apart.

The vforce may need a fueling adjustment in the 12. The tps is probably out of whack though.

Do a search on vforce reeds here you will see depending on the year of machine you put them on that they may need a breakin period they may need a fuel controller box or they are crap.
I put them in a 2011 assult, the machine suffered wandering low idle possible stalling and did not want to slip into reverse unless the rpm got bumped up to 16-1800 rpm, 1400 rpm or lower to the point of stalling was not uncommon.
I checked for air leeks and checked the TPS and tryed waiting out the breakin period but what cured the Vfarce was pulling them out and installing boysen super stock reeds on the stock Polaris cages - instantly the machine had a great steady idle and ran consistently well in all situations.
Curantly I'm thinking I should put new reeds in my 12 pro because it has not been done in years but I doubt I'll pull them Vfarce ones off the shelf when I could just buy stock or boysen's for 70 bucks.
