Is it worth pulling the stock track off a 800 Pro and putting a Camoplast Challenger Extreme on? Heard good things about this track...

All depends on the snow conditions you ride in and what you want out of a track. There is not a better track out there for dry light powder than the stock track they come with.

The new generation Extreme's are great in all conditions. You will not be disappointed with the 2.5 CE.

You will be impressed with the CE over the stock track. Even if you do the F-bomb mod.
Ran both, head to head, again this weekend in Cooke and the Beartooth. The CE shines.

The stock track works very well. It's the best powder track out there. The CE would work better when the snow is set up. The only way I would change track was if I was going to a three inch (which I did) but a lot of my miles are in deep dry fluff so just the 2.5 ce wouldn't help me. The 3 inch is expensive though

I have a CE on my 163 Pro. Love it. We ride in the Pacific Northwest where the dry powder days are few and far between. Way better than stock in our conditions IMO

Of the guys that changed to the CE 2.5, did you install on stock drivers? change drivers? use the Avid Chaincase? I see they make a version (9105M) that works with the stock drivers.

I have an avid chain case and avid drivers. Because the 3 inch only comes in 3 inch pitch. You have to cut the rails to put extoverts on

I stayed with the 2.86 pitch and went with 8 tooth Avids. I think if I did it again I would go with the chaincase mod and run 7 tooth drivers. More room between the lugs and the bulkhead. The way I went works good.
