Looks like the mic attachment to the radio is a better deal. The old ones always broke there.

Can you program these to talk on public channels....like the forestry road channels?

And to talk back/forth with more standard (non BCA) radios?

They maybe better then the 1.0 but they are still alot of coin for a 2watt radio

You are correct!! Big improvement in the way the mic attaches to the radio. The cheap plastic connection that has to be lined up perfect is NO more !!

It is now similar to larger radios where the mic attaches to the side of the radio and then it has a screw that secures it.
