Default Rear shock RMK 900 151'

The rear shock on my 2005 RMK 900 151' broke this weekend, need to find a replacement.

A used stock shock would be easiest but they are hard to find and probably also at the end of their lifespan.

Does anyone know of a newer, more readily available shock that fits bolt on?

Cheers
Dan

The Ryde-FX shocks in the 900 like you have are great units...

You would probably be better off sending it to http://www.gasshockrepair.com/

Specify that you want them to use full synthetic shock oil for the service.

The service is very reasonably priced... you may want to send in all 4 shocks to have them cleaned and oil changed... you will be surprised at the improvements.

Good luck... Please keep us in the loop here with some follow up posts... and photos if possible.

Sorry... I did not realize that you live in Sweden... so transport may be expensive.

Yes, that might get a bit costly...
Anyway, the piston rod is bent and the cap has cracked the shock body. So IŽd say itŽs beyond salvation.
The season is over for me over here, will try and find a good used shock from a 2012-15 Switchback Assault 144' before next winter.

ShouldnŽt be so difficult :-)

Took a while to find a shock from a Switchback Assault (at a good price that is...), but finally it turned up. 200 bucks at the breakers, good deal.

So the Ol' Big Blue Giant will live another year :-)

But, I also need a new lower right a-arm... or at least straight one.
Looking at the SPI aftermarket arms they are only listed for 2006 RMK's.
But I have a suspicion that the only difference between 05 and 06 is the color...

At half the price of an OEM arm I might just buy one and see if it fits.

Been googling it a lot but have not found a definitive answer on if theres any other differences.
Found lots of "I've heard that...", " I think it's...", or "A friends cousin said...".

Has anyone here tried it FIRST HAND and KNOW if there's any structural differences between 05 and 06 lower a--arms?

Cheers
Dan
