2006 Summit X

Well I posted on here lastweek about a 05 vs 07. I found a 2006 Summit X 800 159'' 1650 miles. This is probably the best sled? What's an 06 worth? It's in pretty good shape. Can probably get it for 6800 can. The only thing done to it is a can. He put The Thing on it. What are these cans like? It's a dual chamber I've never even seen them before.

where are you, 6800 seems a bit high, buddy here was lookin at an 07 with brand new motor, 1100km on chasis, with head, clutch kit, can, boss seat, and he knows the whole history of the sled and that was for 7000, i would say ~6000, maybe 6500

That's what I was thinking. I'm in Alberta. He was asking 7500 and I offered him 6000. Finally settled on 6900, but I think that is still high.

Last year i bought a 2006 summit x with 900 miles for 6000! try to get him down some more

I bought my 07 800X 159 for 7500 last year with 600 miles on it, was in show room condition no scratches or scuffs on the hood, polished chassis, no tears or missin lugs on the c-lite, can, caddy, cover, electric start

i would buy it whatever the cost may be......that year summit was the best year skidoo ever produced by far.

That is way to pricy even in Alberta. There are many 07's with new motors with nice mods for that price.

And with the 07 come the 800R 151 hp vs 140 on the 06. If the motor is new on a 07 it will be fine for a couple of years.

Yeah I thought that was kinda steep as well! The 07 I was looking at had a new top end, but the bottom end was original and that scares me. I could get it for a good deal probably.

That's what I was thinking, but he's firm on his price at 6900. It's black, and I'd like to find a red and white one anyways! I'm sure there will be some more come up!!

i bought my 06x from edm over 2years ago for a little over 7gs... sure 06 is a great year but he shouldnt be asking 6900 still.

DON'T COUNT ON IT!
I have seen many a 07s loose motors ...new... used 2nd 3rd ..don't matter
Had my 07 now have a 06 and much happier when 100 miles from nowhere

Take your time, i'm sure you'll find someone who has to sell it and will sell it cheap.

I have been searching for over 6 weeks before I decieded on a sled, and that it was the right price.

I can't believe these prices! I found another 06 151'' and he wants 7500 firm! That's crazy! I'll spend the extra 2500 and get a new 09 XP!!

LOL! No thanks on the 1000! I'm not looking for under 6g's, I'll pay 6500, but I just can't spent 7 or 7500 on an 06!! Unless it was super pimp or something!! I missed out on an awesome one about a month ago, pimped right out light weight tunnel, timber sled skid and all!!

I'm getting my 06 x 1000 for $5000 actually. Not going to pay 2 g more for a lesser sled. And 2g into a 1000 will make it so much better again over an 800. I am happy people hate the 1000's and it won't be long before I get to show my buddy with an 07 800 how much more a 1000 will do :face-icon-small-hap

Here's a wicked deal that I found while browsing kijiji. Not a 06, but 05 is pretty much the same, and for that price if theres nothing wrong with it, it's a steal.
