Here is my first cr500 timbersled build. Bike is a 2007 cr250r with a 2001 motor. I traded for it partially finished over a year ago and have finally got all the parts and most importantly the timbersled kit. Since I have had it I have had the exhaust mounts welded and new outlaw radiators modded. It came from a credible source and the compression feels good so I am not going to do a motor break down until the off season. I totally dissassembled the bike prior to starting to clean. I have the motor in and torqued with nord locks. Made custom bushings to get the timbersled skid to line up with drive sproket. Rebuilt fork bushings and seals and new .54kg springs with 20wt. oil. BRP riser and 1 1/8 bar adapter with protaper fmx bars and vibranator bar ends with fastway series 2 guards.

Get a carb heater and a head compression release . For the AL frame you will likely need a circular one and not the square ones offered by avid. Use the search, I think M5 or someone is currently making one similar to what I found to work. Compression release will save your legs/feet.

I gave up on it after a couple seasons, not worth the vibration to me or the tuning. 450 with estart, efI & chromoly frame was the tciket for me but good luck.
