During the Fall of 2013 I caught wind of a new clutch "kit" that Moto was putting together for Boosted Nytros. After some conversation with him I went ahead and ordered one of these new kits for my Supercharged Nytro in hopes that I could get the stock clutch dialed in a bit better for the additional power coming from the Supercharger.

When speaking with Moto about this new Clutch Kit, he had the following to say that convinced me to buy one and give it a try.

This kit will replace the weights (with adjustable Daltons with a waaay different profile), both primary and secondary springs, primary rollers, and will require the use of an Ultimax belt rather than the Yammi belt...

The best part is, you will never believe how much difference this kit will make to the "ride-ability" of your sled.
It is so smooth, and drops clutch temps so much it is incredible.
It takes advantage of the low end torque of the Nytro, and engages at a much lower RPM than you are used to (this is what makes it smoother).

It isn't a terribly cheap investment, but as has been said many a time - "clutching makes a sled".

Try what you wish, but I will guarantee this is the VERY best out there for the Nytro.

Thus far all my dealings with PsychoSled have been VERY beneficial to my sled so I am more than willing to try out one of Moto's new creations yet again!!

=====

For baseline performance comparison, this is where I am at right now.

Max RPM = 9,150
Max Speed = 83mph
Elevation = 6,500 for the test run on a smooth flat mile long trail.
Ambient Temp was negative in the single digits (-5 to -7)

Engine runs STRONG and SMOOTH.

GOAL with the new kit.
Max RPM = 8,800 in DEEP SNOW.

Pre-Review Note.
So far as I know I have a PRE-RELEASE VERSION!

It has all the right parts, but has not been assembled into a final retail "kit".

Everything came in a nice small box.

I got turned onto the Dalton's last year when I bought my boost-it kit. There well worth the price tag. Are you using your stock helix?

Yes.
I asked Moto about that and he thought there was no compelling reason to change it out for something different.

Blasting through the upgrade right now.

First thing I did was to MARK the parts for reassemblym just to be sure I would remember where everything was to begin with.

Took the secondary apart first to get the belt off.

Nuts came off easy enough.

And off comes the OEM Belt.

Break the bolts on the Primary loose.

Found my nut driver was faster than the ratchet in going around loosing the bolts while trying to maintain something close to similar pressure on all of them.

Now to remove the arms.
Notice that mine are MAXED out on the OEM weights.

Surprisingly I did NOT have to loosen any of the set screws.
The bearing shaft just sled out of all three of them.

Given my weight and sled configuration Moto "Suggested" that I start off with the largest "1 inch" set screw to begin the TESTING phase.

He is almost certain I will be DOWNSIZING these after we get some test runs in.

Moto's instructions were to use a drop of medium Loctite and screw in until it was FLUSH.

Screw in the weight until it is flush with the opening.

Had a bear of a time trying to get the camera to focus in on the head of the screw to show it being FLUSH with the opening

The OLD OEM arm weighing in at 2.8 ounces.

The new Dalton with weight weighing in at only 2.2 ounces.

Installing the new arms was a snap.
Only thing that took any effort at all was getting the two washers aligned for the bolt to slide back through. The tip of a small screwdriver came in handy.

Slipped on the new belt.
