So I have about 13 lugs broken off of my stock 2.6 and I'm looking at replacing it. Originally I was going to wait until next spring, see how the conquer 280 is doing, and maybe jumping on that train. But I found an X3 162 on Craigslist in good condition for $400. I know the X3 is much heavier, but is it durable? Lightweight is nice but between the broken paddles and the wear on the track windows, I'm really not happy with my 2.6 track.

What would you do, ride it out and save for a conquer 280 or jump on this X3? Going on a 16 axys with a silber pump gas turbo.

Right but until I came across this deal, I was planning on stretching the stocker through the season. I don't know that I want to be a guinea pig on a new track. Like I said, the 2.6 is light but I don't think I would use durable to describe it. Maybe the Conquer will be both. only time will tell

That is a good price on the X3... Is it a single or double ply?

I loved my X3 on a boosted Pro.. Now we bought 2 of the X3 single ply tracks around the same time both on boosted pros... One came apart in about 500 miles and the other is still going strong with no paddles missing and around 2k miles. They did warranty the other track and have no issue since on that on either.

Ok, Was not sure... Just making sure. That is a good price for sure and is a great track. Time will tell for sure on the 2.8, It is definitely lighter at 46#.

Thanks for the quick response. Wanted to jump on this deal as soon as possible as long as somebody didn't tell me Hell no. Jumped on it at $350.

Drivers will have to be changed for sure. I'll have to look in to the anti stab kit, I'm not familiar with that. I assume avid is the way to go on both?

Also might look into regear. Not sure the exact number but with 3" drivers it will gear it up taller

Avid foe sure on the drivers.. If you have 8t drivers just go to 7t #0010

I run Iceage 4wheel kit for the Antistab but Avid does make them yes.

I wouldnt hesitate to try to conquer 280, it looks like theres been lots of research and testing done. I for one am really intrigued by the lug designed and think it will be a ripper. You cant go wrong with a camo X3 for $400...if you dont buy it I will!

With the Axys 1.95 QD ratio, the installation of 7T 3.0 drivers will change the final ratio from 2.23 to 2.12. Switching to '13-'14 QD sprockets will put the overall ratio at 2.28.

And the 8t 3.0 drivers? I'm not sure how you are calculating or I would do it myself.

8t 3.0 drivers will make the ratio even higher and will not fit unless you fabricate a drop-n-roll for the Axys or put like a 2" paddle track on it.

If I did the math right, Axys QD ratio of 1.95 running 8T 3.0 driver will give you a final ratio of around 1.87

Thanks for the replies. Had a buddy pick up the track today as it was 3 hours from me in the town he lives in. I won't see it for a couple weeks but he said it looks brand new. I'll go with 7 tooth drivers. Doubt I'll mess with gearing for the time being. Ill run it and see how I like it
