13 800 cyl cracked at threads.

If you don't dry them out, when they get coolant in them, they either strip or crack when torquing due to the hydraulic pressure that results. Stripping is more common, though.
It belongs to a friend. He said it torqued up tight last time.
And was still tight when he disassembled.

May have been some water in the bottom that froze, also. Most likely rebuilder error. IMO
