nice work on the pipe, that had to be like shoving a water buffalo into a tuna can
did the owner stay stock or go with a 1200?

:)

No 1200 inn this one. Engine is ported, so it should still be plenty of power. Keep in mind it is used @sealevel to 3500ft approx, so it makes lot of power.

We have been busy with work for some weeks. Been working today. Repinned ecu connector, filled up coolant, painted exhaust. Hooked up PCV etc.
Wrap pipe tomorrow, and fire her up.

Fired her up today. Engine runs fine, and no obvious issues to see. Only had it outside of the garage today. Will finish up some small things tomorrow, and start tuning.

Looks absolutely sick, great work. I'm curious on there wrap also, how do you avoid it rusting from snow and moisture?

2 rolls of 100ft, 2" wide. You will get half roll leftover approx.
Use steel cable tie to fix it. You can see a black ring in each end of the wrap, that is the cable tie.
Cable ties of steel you normally use on industrial cabling where you need the cable fixture to whitstand a fire.
You will need a special tool too tighten it properly.

Pipe is painted under the wrap, so repainting it every second season should be enough maintanence.

Motor mounts

Daltech,
What's the 1000cc motor like to mount in the pro-climb chassis?
Do any of the chassis motor mounts for the 800cc motor work or line up with the 1000cc motor mounts?

The rear MAG mount fit like a glove. No need to modify anything there. All other mounts have to be redone.

Ok.
If a guy had the aftermarket ttcl with the 1000cc engine bolt pattern what else would be needed for motor mounts?

Thanks

Motor plate under the motor has to be made. The plate itself is an easy part. If we get time, we will cad the one we have made, then we can reproduce it.

I can't wait to see this beast in action. Should be a real treat as the M1000 is very near and dear to many of us. Really enjoying your build.

Had it on the trails for the first time. Just trail riding, hauling a trailer behind it full with stuff. Yes, this sled is a multi purpose sled, not only mountain riding.
Works real good on the trails. Midrange tuning is getting close to perfekt. Still have her rich on top end, but pulls 7900rpm on top, so feels good.
Think we should see some gain when we lean her out on top. All in all it works good so far. Will have some more miles on it the next coming days.

The 1000 likes fuel. On egts anything over 1160 lost on hill performance. The torque comes from fuel.

Aware of it likes fuel yes. Seen that on other builds. Dont run egt, only af. We will have here on a dyno to fine tune the fueling later. Right now we have broken pcv. Had on pcv cdi unit on the shelf of the early priduction run that we used on this one, but it did not last long. We was waiting for it, so no worries. Dynojet seems to take good care of us, and we will have it replaced soon.

Long summer, and no sled work. But getting into it again now. The modified TCL has me worried, thinking it will let go sooner or later. So we are in the process of making a new TCL by cnc that work with the 1000 bolt pattern. First prototype finished. Checked its fitment, and are making small adjustment before we produce one in proper material. The proto is made in thin sheet aluminium just to verify the drawings accuracy.
Next step is a solid version to install.

Proclimb 1000 TCL finished

We just finished off a cnc machined TCL to mount the 1000 engine into the proclimb chassie.
We can do more of these if there is any demand for them.
