Its on pause since the closest snow is 2 hours away and i've been riding mine and finishing a project 13 pro i picked up for $2500.

Planning on going for a quad ride this weekend with my son.
Butchered the bulkhead and rebuilt it to match the skinny.
Will be 31" center to center with the spacers on the inside.
Beginning of the running boards
you definitely need a gusset from the rear trailing arm mount back to the running board or somewhere. I had a aluminum mount in the past that didnt hold up
The original steel stub is going inside the aluminum.
I said it was the start of the running boards.
They will be welded together and a triangulated brace run forward also.
I want the little guy to be able to get way forward on the thing so the rear trailing arm mount will have traction screws on it.
And the trailing arm too.

Looking good SMF! That's a good idea, tying the running boards into the trailing arm mounts.
How much did you narrow the front end? Did you happen to measure the difference in angles on the shocks & radius rods before & after you started?

Zero snow around home this year.
Not much incentive to finish the thing.
Driving an hour or two i can ride good snow but the boys have just ridden the fourwheeler around the house.
I am swapping an xr100 motor into a blown up kx65 frame for the boys though.
Might use the skinny track setup and build a snowbike.
My new job has turned into a lot more hours than the old one.
(Half day is 12 hours right???)
Part of being an owner i suppose.....
550 miles of flawless arm stretch on my axys though.....

Yeah, I can relate.
It'd be nice if you could ride the sleds right out of your garage or at least stage somewhere within an hour's drive or less.
Quick question on your narrowing mod. When you shortened the radius & tie rods, you just relocated the upper shock mounts to maintain the shock angle, correct?
