Best MOD for $500

I have an 06 800 X summit 151. I ride montana and idaho once a year, the rest of the riding is in the U.P of Michigan(home). I finally got to where i need a little more power than the stock 800 gives. I did do the pins and springs for 6 to 8k but i want a little more. The sled dont scare me anymore.

Reeds and a clutch kit would help and be around $500.

My 06 was a impressive sled, I should not have ever sold it.

Try this:
  • Gear to 19/47, Best for 151. ~ $75
  • HPS can ~ $250
  • TEAM clutch w/ 62/44-42 w/ Red/Black ~ $350
There is more, but you limited me to only $500 (and I wnet over a tad) :D Lots of free mods to lighten it up.

Curious what set-up you did to pins & spring?

if you are willing to lose reverse, buy this billet secondary from supertorquer and you will gain a lot of track speed for $459. I have a similar setup with the shockwave billet roller secondary (but the shockwave costs $900) and this supertorquer works great from what i hear.

I have a dual elevation clutch kit for your model.
There are a ton of reviews on dootalk, snowest about it.

Come with 200/350 primary spring for low elevation (4000 engage)
160/350 primary spring for mountains (3800 engage)
Dalton 14~25g stainless pins
S8R roller helix for your x-model.

You would install 23g in clicker 3 for low elevations with 200/350
To go to high elev. then change to 160/350 and reduce pinweight to 17g for 3500~8000 in clicker 3. 16g for 8000~12000 feet.

The videos are about a 440 race sled however the primary clutch procedure, everything is the same as yours.
...only these 2 videos pertain to your primary – don’t pay attention to the 3rd or 4th video.
