I have an 08 Summit 800R, the engine is a Ski Doo long Block with 1500 miles on it. We just had it out west and the crank broke behind the clutch. The engine still runs fine. I am looking for suggestions on whether to just have someone fix the crank or to replace it with a rebuilt. Who would be able to repair this crank?

Thanks

Where are you located? Ive been building crank fixtures for a shop here that does a great job rebuilding them if you want to ship it out.

But really it is a pretty simple fix IF the rest of the crank is in good shape. Youd be amazed at how out of phase those cranks can get.

When I was measuring used cranks to get dimensions I found most of them weren't straight. Not sure if it was because I was measure blown up cranks that were stressed or because ski doo sends them out that way.
