Pure Logic, Attitude and Union Bay/Fastrax are all made by Dobeck and they all have boost signal as an input. The FTX/UBR box uses a more robust transducer and won't get blown apart (literaly) so you can put the end of the tube right at the butterflys in the throttle body for fast/quick response. Along with some other component upgrades to make a more durable box. This however does drive the cost of the box up a bit. With Ronnie (the designer) insisting on high quality components, and the reliability at the highest possible, it makes the extra money well spent. I am not saying the other boxes are "cheap", to the contrary, they are nice units and awesome programing. Bottom line IMHO, the you have a case here where one camp understands the programing and electronics very well but are not as versed in the motor end and performance background. Then another camp is the other way, years of performance with a reputation in the two stroke motor world and recent to the electronics end of controlers. Just who is the quicker study.

So UnionBay is now called Fastax? Found out something interesting today. Mountain performance (the yamaha guys) are the western states distributor for all the sled related Dobeck boxes. Attitude, Purelogic, Boss, Fastrax, they all buy thier boxes from Mountain Performance.
