They made the first production Conquer 280 3.5" pitch tracks today. The first ones weighed under 42 pounds. They expect that all the 165's will weigh less than 43 pounds.

Robbie,

Is there going to be any room to bump up your 6 tooth driver (or 7 tooth 3 pitch driver ) diameter over Skidoo's stock driver diameter?

Possibly to keep snow from leaving the track. Nothing sticks to snow better than more snow.

I haven't seen a G4 sled. I put 8 tooth drivers on my T3, better approach angle etc. There will probably be room for a 7 tooth in the 3.5" pitch. We'll have to see what the sled has for extra room.

So we know the thing is crazy light. Does anyone have any information on what the actual traction is like with it? How does it perform vs a 3 inch?

Or strength for that matter? Hope it works as good as they say. Time will tell. I remember a track called the maverick that had great reviews and was a complete flop.

Peak and maverick were both heavy. This thing is light so it's bound to be good in that its gonna light up quick.

I don't even care how tough it is if it works good.

Just kinda wondering how it will work vs a 3 inch in the fluff. Anyone out in Wyoming have one? I see video that Steve Martin is riding back there, could get some fluff testing in

Talking to the Camso guys at HAYDAYS they say this track will out climb the new G4 3.5 pitch 3"

Ski-Doo is stubborn and wants to stay with the 2-1 pattern even though this track performs better.

either a slightly bigger 3.5/6 or a smaller 3.5/7 would be nice...

problem is 1 tooth is a big jump when its 3.5" apart...BJ

They compared to all 3 stock tracks last year and the 2.8 was better...BJ
Skidoo has 1 mountain track.
Polaris has 3 mountain tracks
Cat has 3 mountain tracks.
Which 3 did they compare it to?
That leaves 4 tracks they did not compare!

all 3 brands...
I'm sure it was vs the stock 3" (even the new 3.5 doo) since that is its main competition...BJ

I would say the same thing if I was trying to sell my new line of tracks. :face-icon-small-win
