He started with a very tired 2012 sled. Stripped it down to nothing and started from there. Every piece was massaged as it was put into place and every possible reduction in weight he could do was done. He did a stellar job on this one.

That is a beautiful 12’. Is that a wrap or paint? If it has the ctec2 it would be one power house of a sled. Hope that track holds together with all that rubber missing.:pop2::

Nice build

That's very impressive!
Nice job.
I'd like to know more about this build.
I wonder if this is the lightest one done yet?

Cats are the easiest sled to drop Big weight on. Hood, pipe, can, oil injection delete is close to 50lbs. Man on a 2012 tho, seems like a lot of effort on one of the worst years in Cat history!

Something tells me there is no 12 left in this sled. :) I’m sure it has all the current geometry. Probably picked it up for next to nothing, stripped it down and got the drill out. It will be fun seeing the full story. I’ve heard a few things but will let Jason tell all.

It is the 2.8 camo track.

there isn't much "12" left on my 12 either lol. bottom end of motor, front bumper, gas tank and coolers are the only thing 2012 anymore. running boards and rear bumper have been changed since this pict also haha. been running since new in 11, only blew one belt because my secondary came apart. just replaced my second belt this season because it was worn out too much and couldn't get deflection. be curious of my weight with carbon hood and carbon rear suspension.

TKI put a video on Facebook showing more of this sled. Looks like it has the new motor. Lots of holes! :)

Had the 700 Wildcat 93 vintage, and the ‘99 PS 700. Rode the snot out of both. Have to say I never felt like it was awful when I owned em! Looking back on it now I can’t believe I ever made it off trail at all!!!
Back to the original post. THAT IS A BEAUTIFUL SLED!!!

You could keep a clutch or crank in it long enough to ride it? I think some of the cranks were out of spec from factory.

I've still got my mod sled from high school in the barn that has a 700 wildcat bottom end with a psi 890 top end. That crank has at least 10,000 miles on it, Great motor. The crank is pinned and welded, but i never even split the cases in 7 season of riding it

It’d be a lot of fun to do this to an 18’. Bore it out to a 900 and have a hellof a tree riding monster.
