Any body have an idea why my instrument panel An Tail light Stoped working on my 2009 m8 hcr ? Thanks

Taillight wire running under the fuel tank could have shorted out.

A short in the handle bars warmer will also cause the lights and instrument cluster to stop working. Try turning off the thumb and bar warmer and see if the instrument cluster turns back on. My M7 currently cuts out the lights and instrument cluster when the bar heater is on low.

Yes my M1000 had the handlebar warmer short out and kill the headlights and gauge. Turned them off and lights and gauge were back on
Careful you can damage the Stator or possibly the ECU.
