Now for 2010 I hope they have the Cummins in there with 400hp so I can boost it to 650:cool:

all the early indications say that the half ton "baby" cummins will come in at about 250ish hp and sport about 425lbs of torque, but will pull in 25+ on the highway... it's as much as most half ton drivers will ever need... imho, I think 3/4 ton trucks are on the way out... all the half tons can tow just about as much so why bother with them...

to bad there V6 and V8...That is DUMB IMO!!!

And they all get bigger and Bigger tow #'s every year just about but ther not equel,I think the 1/2 ton's are around 4,000 lbs short,But like you said that is enough for most people, But I don't want the Baby Cummins so I will go with the BIGGER truck and the stright 6 the way 99% of all diesels are and should be IMO.

as you said, that's your opinion... fwiw - the tow rating on the F150 is 11,000lbs (4x2, 145" wheelbase, 5.4L v8)... f250 is 11,100 with the same engine and single rear wheel, only goes up to 12,500 with either the v10 or the diesel and the single rear wheel.... why bother with the 3/4 ton chassis at all???

edit - as for the engine config, WGARA??? as long as the power is there it doesn't really matter eh?

When Luke sent me these pictures, I almost threw up....

But, then, I started looking at them, and, you know, it really isn't that bad, and there's some AWESOME ideas for a work truck in there. 115V power outlet in the dash (Not much wattage, but a start), as well as the storage compartments in the dash....

I like it...

Yeah, well I broke down and bought my first Dodge yesterday, 89' pickup with a snowplow, got it home and broke the clutch linkage, so what does that say! Oh, and did they finally get the trannies to hold up? I know 3 people who have gone through 2 OR MORE trannies, all auto's, in under 50,000 miles. Last one the guy spent the money and converted it to a 6 speed, and now he is loosing 5th gear, bad syncro.
