Picked up an $1100.00 2004 R6 and am fitting a TS LT to it.
See if the scandinavian guys running similar are on to something.

you think it is hard to upright a tipped over dirt bike/kit... wait until you have to lift up that 400 pound plus behemoth. :D make sure you add some sort of lifting straps to the front end, and sides. you will need a few strong backs to upright a sportbike. Ski

I’m interested but seems everyone that has done normal kit on sport bike has not been good. Only tedesled from what I hear.

Do you have any links to builds with sportbikes? I couldn’t find any information on them......

A few fails on YouTube was all.
And a few that seemed to go pretty good.

Only one way to find out.
If it sucks i’m going to keep moving weight down and back. (Fuel, antifreeze)

Curious why a tedesled would be different than any other kit?
Single arm and limiter vs 2 arms, limiter and rear slider?

What’s a finished weight of one of your 137 Rkt’s?

Probably should bring a utv on tracks and a davit arm. Lol

It’s like the same as rolling up an xm summit, wide hips help the roll.

If this old basterd can pick up a 500 pound porker you'll have no problem with picking the R6 up .

I need to put my horn back on. Super handy.

Do you already have these Cr500r forks? I only ask because I have a pair sittin here.

They were supposed to be delivered Saturday but nobody was at the office......

If this thing is fun I would probably end up looking for another set depending on what bike ended up being used for a second setup.

Are you sure about those mid 80's forks. The CR500 had 43mm forks up to 95 I think it was then they went to 46mm. The 43's likely wont be up to the task of that much weight and they flex. To be honest they are total $hit on a lightweight CR500. I have a set here I may throw on my wifes TTR230 which has even $hittier forks than the old 500 ones which is hard to believe. I swapped a set of 48mm WP forks onto my CR500, were I to do it again I'd probably just do the Showa's its much easier. If you don't know already ALL Balls has a fork/triple/bearing cross reference tool.

I don’t have any like to others builds either just few vid post on here any YouTube over the years. My Rkt weighs 390 It’s not light but it’s easy enough to ride and if you spin track to dig a bit of hole it uprights ok. Tedsled gsxr sure look good on video. Very fast but not sure how they ride

The 04 R6 has crappy 43 mm forks yes. (Last year of them)
Unfortunately the cost of custom billet triple clamps to go inverted is fairly high.
$50 ebay 43’s will be good enough to try it out with.

I've been punishing my 43mm inverted ktm forks for 3 seasons and i like the extra flex (its pretty obvious compared to 48mms) but no downside i can see. the seals don't leak ever and revalved accordingly with lots of oil work better than my new forks.

Haha I wish these were inverted.

These are right side up ancient things.

Down the road as an upgrade, I doubt you would need custom triples. I would just buy a set of whatever forks you could find for a couple of hundred bucks off of Ebay then mod the stem or press in the one from your stockers. All Balls will have the bearings and races to make it work. How are you going to mount the spindle?
