Hey guys. I just acquired a '77 TNT 340 F/A with 1,500 miles but the track is pretty bad. The track on the machine measures 16.5" x 116" with 58 windows on each side. The dealer tells me that according to the number stamped on the tunnel ( 343900390 ) it is in fact a '77 TNT 340 F/A but that it uses a 15 x 114" track. I can't even find a SkiDoo in the 70's that ever had a 16.5" x 116" track. Any ideas?

I've got 58 windows 2" apart so I figure its 116" long. There's one on ebay from a 1978 TNT that he says is 16 1/2" x 17". I figure he wrapped a string around it and didn't get it just right but its close to 116".

Thanks. That is a cool setup at Kimpex. It says 15 x 114. Mine is definitely 16.5" wide. Just found owners manual online that says 16.5" wide but no length.

I thought there was only 2 tracks for TNT from 1974 to 1979. 16.5 x 124 (everest) and 16.5 x 120. Maybe the short track was 114 in. not 120 in.
Some of those track specs in that Kimpex Catalog are wrong.

Are you sure it's a Ski Doo track?

About he same time Rupp was running a 16.5x116 track that was a little more aggressive than the Doo track. Then I had both a 340 F/A and a Nitro II

Perhaps some did a track mod.

Found some numbers molded into this track. My current track has PC 73 and 132706 molded into it. The track is a SkiDoo dated 1976. 16.5 x 116 ?

I'm finding a few 16.5 x 114 tracks out there. My drivers are 3/4 wide. Do I need to be concerned about getting the right width between window side to side or are they all standard? One track had larger windows that I was told is for slide suspensions to allow more snow to the hyfax. My track has small windows but my sled has hyfax.

You can use the wide or the narrow window tracks on the narrow drivers as long as they are clipped for sliders. Just measure the width between the clips vs your slide rails.

Thanks. I measure 10 1/4" between the base of the guide clips side to side. I found a track in NY that the seller says measures 11 1/4" between guide clips but he said he couldn't get at it very well for accurate measurement. He may have been measuring from tip to tip which would be wider because they taper up. If the base is 11 1/4" wide will this work anyways? I was told at the dealer that the drivers are pressed on and can be moved in or out on the shaft.

Thanks. I think I found a NOS Kimpex track for $100.00. We just got 15" of snow so I better get to this project quick.
