I fill my own BCA from a scuba tank, just get a paintball adapter.I feel its overkill to change the o-ring every time .I understand nobody wants to be sued.Did some testing and bag fully filled with only 900 pounds of pressure at 7000 feet elevation,so if tank is down on pressure a little i am not to worried about it.

We at I-90motorsports fill them for free...

It does not cost us much to refill our tanks and we enjoy all the new customers coming into our store for a refill(no charge). If you want to test your bag come down blow it off and hang out for a bit while we help will fix you up... (no charge)..
Our bet is you will spend a little bit while we help you pack and refill your bag.

sometimes you can get a fire station to fill it or, anyplace that uses/fills scba tanks. you will need the quick connect for a paint ball set up. do not let anyone fill it with co2. pulling the cord on a bottle of co2 will give you a bottle full of dry ice and a flat bag....

search precharged pneumatic air rifle and look for a bicycle style pump. they make one that looks like the old fashioned pumps. 2-3' tall, tee handle, short hose, will doo better than 3000psi, it will take a few min to fill your bottle.

I bit the bullet and bought the adapter. I fill my own at the fire station. Guess that is one of the perks of being a volunteer.

I spent a whole day contacting all Billings snowmobile dealers, and finally found a place that refills cylinders for all the different brands of avalanche floatation systems including BCA float system that I have. Adventure Scuba at 2101 Grand Ave, suite 1, in Billings, MT is where to go. They charged $8.

I know that large bore air rifle guys are using the high pressure hand pumps for this... easy/light to transport...

HMM... Has me thinking. Portable, light and keep it in the truck for road trips... heck, light enough to pack for air travel as well.

There are quite a few of 3600 and 4500 PSI units available.

Anyone with experience with these?

The Benjamin and Air-Venturi brands are, IMO, affordable.
