hood straps

looking for pics of hood straps on the sides of the hood for mounting.If any of you guys have them. Is it better to mount them at the front of the side panel or just in front of it?

Heres where i had them on my old m7, they held up good

Here's what I did. I put the straps on the hood though so if I ended up taking it off (no headlights) the straps wouldn't be flopping all over.

I mounted mine in the same spot and used hardware from a 2002 sno pro

Ditto here, used the straps from my 04 racer in the same spot.

I was thinking of puting the strap in the same spot because the hood clip is on the back side at that spot
