Thought it was time to start a new thread to talk about riding deep snow in the promise land.

The Alpha Cat will come out of hibernation this weekend in preparation for the long recovery season ahead.

Mike, Glenn and Bill (3 stooges) you too can comment even though I said this thread is to talk about riding deep snow. Talking about my elders crashing and getting stuck in deep snow is fun too.

You guys know I wouldn’t trade a moment I have had on the hill with you. Ok except maybe that one where………..

We love you too Cat Boy! Obviously we have different definitions of what deep snow is. We know what happens in this ankle deep snow as shown by the picture that Cat Boy was stuck when he tried making his own trail downhill. Picture speaks for itself.

Anyone else headed to the Spokane Snowshow tomorrow? I think I'm going to make it this year.

Then when Cat Boy gets into even deeper snow he just gets deeper. Seems like he was wanting to ride the groomed trail to the warming shelter.

Going to be a great winter.

Looking forward to riding the Blues again. Got some new parts in place in the shoulder and looking for the mountain therapy to get me higher on the hill.

Looks like next weekend might be time to travel to Tollgate via the milkshakes to have lunch.

Should be a go. The Arctic Cat store on the mountain opened yesterday for the season so you can get parts while eating at the restaurant next door.

Thanks Rob for being along and helping get me unstuck.

Your still have some tuning to do as your left ski wants to stick in the air now.20221203_122813.jpgMaybe add 50 pounds to it to keep it on the snow like you added 100 pounds to the right ski to correct the problem a few pictures above. Until next adventure....?

I'm feeling better to catch up on all the riding I missed last year.

left Arctic Cats in the parking lot (too much snow)

Rode out of Cloverland this weekend... it has been plowed to the snow park but would not recommend trying while towing a trailer... Trails had been groomed but the last snow dump pretty much wiped it out.... trees down too. Pretty tracked up. Snow is good, really deep in some places. Showed about 2.5 at the marker.

Rode Saturday with granddaughters

SIDE NOTE: If someone finds some glasses in a black case, please contact me... lost mine somewhere near Mt. Misery or the cabin.

Made it to Tollgate this past weekend. Made it out to the Bone Springs warming shelter and had a strong east wind. Then today we worked on ropes and branches on the lower trails through private land.

2/12/23 Riding out of Cloverland.
Road is passable to the snow park. Trails were groomed... hamburgers were great at the cabin! Snow was actually pretty good, good base and 4-6 inches of powder on top. We call this our "Junior" ride in memory of Steve and my causing him to be late to his own Super Bowl party... I know it is hard to believe but I did something stupid and could not get out... Steve would not leave until we were all safe... speaks volumes of the kind of man he was. RIP Steve.

Are you bringing your crew down to Sumpter for an after party after you win at the Western Championships?

They look Plum Nuts!
