2006 rmk 700. how do the the gas lines off the tank. It slides on the tube about a 1/4 of an inch but doesn't come off.

You need special fuel line removal tools. They are available at most auto parts stores. They some in an assortment from 1/4 to 3/8.

why do you need to?

if you're replacing it for the fuel filler neck, that's a recall repair.

Avoid the plastic tools.

I changed my fuel filter a few weeks ago and tried to use the plastic separator tools and they wouldn't slide in the line far enough to disconnect the line so I had to go back and buy the metal separator tool. Get the metal ones if you can. I bought them at Shuck's .
