1200 kits

i did two D&D 1200 kits with nitros both sleds run great NO problems at all with the kits, very responsive to NOS, awsome throttle response, very easy to tune, only change i made was to tighten the pipes a little bit for the high elevation we ride at here (8500-11000').any questions p.m. me.

Roughly how much more HP does the 1200 make over the stock 1000?
Is there a mild kit and a wild kit?
Can you run it on pump gas and what fuel controller is required?
What pipe is recommended?

D&D says there 1200 kit produces around 233H.P., they do have different kits available for low elevation, high elevation, elevation with Nitros, full race, or turbo applications. they are all different, so you just tell them what you want.

Mister and Ice cap talk to Whitker 727. He's in the Idaho spokane riders area all the time. He has nothing but problems with his. He has Racing Station as far as I know. But, he would be one to talk to to get some feed back. May'not be what you want to hear though! Good Luck.

D&D is the ONLY way to go,(IMO) the two i built and another 1200 D&D one of my buddies built have had NO problems at all.with a lot of miles put on them they seem awsome, and love the nitros.

big boree

Unless you are going to spray the 1200, port the 1000. I've seen the dyno #'s and the 1200 vs a ported 1000 isn't worth the extra money. If you want to know more PM me.

who does a good porting on 1000s?

what if one were to get a 1200 bore AND porting? that would be decent i guess.. :)
i ask cause a friend of mine have a Bikeman 1200 and the porting is basically non-existent.. about 3% on the exhaust or something like that.. and the other ports are left untouched..

but the Bikeman 1200 runs pretty darn good now, once dialed in.

he had mucho problemo at first cause Bikeman couldn't get a set of twins from D&D until most of the season here was over...
he got a singel pipe from Bikeman that they said was a 1200 pipe.. well, it wasn't.. it was identical with the 1000 pipe:confused: and the engine overheated on every little climb..

runs good now thou.
