They will be around now through spring for testing and then not until August for the main shipment of production models.

Yes, Boss seat. All SEs will have the Boss seat, while on the other models, only the snowchecked sleds. You can get a non SE on snowcheck, but not get an SE in season.

I like the lightweight can comment. I'm sure that adds about 30 HP...right Eric?

As for the .1lbs who thought that was important, I don't know but I have been in the shop when guys were taking out foam at 2.5oz etc so to some I guess it matters. I put on almost 50lbs of gear when I ride so .1 lbs on the sled isn't a big deal.

I do like the down in the 450ish range with a boss seat and pipe/can combo that should be impressive (M8, looks like even the M1000 would be around 475 which is real good for a 1000cc stocker)

Jenny Craig threw in the .1 lbs. Im with 2000TCMC, I throw on a backpack that is like 30 lbs when I go riding, so little things like .1 lbs could be a book of matches less for me I guess......or you could just take a big duke in the morning and lose 2-5 lbs!!:D

Spent the day on the 2009 sleds. I have to say the competition better be ready!!!! These suckers rock!!! The new track is plain awesome. We rode in fresh powder, hardpack, ice etc. and it performed flawlessly. I came away most impressed with the M8, it is head and shoulders better than the 2008 model, and I think most of it is track.

The M1000 had a bit of a stutter on the bottom end, which the ECU settings are not finalized yet. It still beat up on 2008 models.

You can really feel the lighter sled, but the track is the real star of this show!:D

Aside from preproduction tracks, we won't have any until July. They will not need clipped to fit the 2007/2008 models. The nubs on the outside are shortened.

saw this in that pdf floating around..

07 and 08s can nab up the -8 lbs if they want to lose the reverse?

hrmm i wonder if its worth it and at what cost$

• Arctic Cat Engine Reverse (ACER)
• 8.0 lb. weight reduction!!
• Only on 800’s & 1000’s
• Still keeps the desirable feature of push-button
shifting
• Uses the same case and cover profile as the
2007/2008 ACT reverse case
• Forward-only ACT Drive system retrofits back to
2007 & 2008 models w/ACT reverse
- lose reverse functionality but do get the weight
savings

After reading todays Snow West mag it looks like you cat riders do need every .1 lb of weight loss you can get! The 146 Xp was even killing the 162 M1000 in a powder climb situation. HMMMM?

Great magazine, but I have been at the "Deep Powder Challenge" and it is not what you would think. I would welcome any XP to run against the M1000. In real world conditions, it aint happnin! Don't want to argue, but come on now!
