8oo top gun 144 clutch set up Ran this set up last weekend in the bighorn mtns. 417 ramps stock 10.5 gram weight pins purple/blue spring 160/290 secondary is stock 50/40 cam green spring. would pull 8150 rpm on trails and 7950 in deep pow. Belt is not shifting up to top of primary clutch. Will be trying setup based off 03 800 summit in 1.5 weeks.
415 ramps 13grams pin weight and stock 130-230 hawk spring
secondary will be 44degree straight cam and a black spring.
Max RPM is to be 7950 with straight shift. Will try removing front coil spring also. Might modify air box to let breathe Use the attac kit so cant use pods. Will post results again.

Why can't you use an attac with pod filters? I'm asking this because I have been running an attac on my 600 with pod filters and it works just fine.

I don't know what to do with the hose that runs into the air box. I thought it had to be in the air box. If it dosen't that is great. How do you have yours set up?

The fat end just requires a foam barrel type filter zip tyed to the end. And leave it between the pods. I have a new Holtzman in stock if your interested. Bernie 403 330 4040

I was wondering how the attac worked? I do notice (esp up at pemberton) that my 600HO loses a lot of rpm up high. thanks.

attac

My attac seems to work good. So can I use a crankcase type breathe on the large hose that would normaly go into the airbox? I would like to try pods for sure.

the install instructions tell how to do an install without an air box. you just maount the compensator some where near the carbs and try to get the big hose as close to the pods as possible.
