Well, the snow is getting great in Western Washington so I hope people are getting jacked up for the Snow Hawk Festival Feb. 16-17. Last year we had a couple dozen one ski machines and atleast three dozen two ski machines. Everyone enjoyed three days of sun and great terrain in Ellensburg. This year should be even better with the terrain we will be shredding at Baker Lake. It is known for huge jumps and huge hill climbs. If you love catching air we will see you there. Mccbrothers.com

Hey Rude , we ride a fair amount during the week days so theres a good chance that you could ride all week pretty easily ,especially after driving that far im sure that we could keep ya out there ! And we have plenty of area close by so you wouldnt even have ta ride the same place twice ! And typically we have lots an lots of powder !

hawks need lesson in manners

where ever you take your hawks please learn some resect for the locals
the trails and the environment in general
I know you all thought you owned the place but the trails are not race courses. You dont slide the corner taking the whole trail and run people off them. Tree topping is what gets our areas closed by the logging companies
you were all great at that.
showing off in the parking lots, not thinking you could be upsetting someone
and giving motor sports another black eye, your pros
I ride here almost every weekend and never have I seen so many egos trying to out do one and other. Racing by the warming hut flat stupid.
I would also suggest a generous donation to the local club
you tore the trails up and burned their wood seems like the least you could do
Did you even think to contact the club itself to see about the area and conditions or other functions going on I doubt it.
We all like speed and powder and the like but the way the hawks did it is what gets areas closed down, not just to motorized but all use!!
I was riding the area Wed thru Mon so it wasnt like you had a bad day, this was the daily routine.
Please have fun at your next hawkfest just not in our great back yard!!
We want to keep our area open and us to be welcomed

i am not saying you have a point,,, and i am sorry you feel this way for having me/us there, but to be fair this event brought 1000's of dollars to local buiss also. times are tough all over and there should some credit for groups out there spending money in small towns. So with that said , you can come to my backyard anytime with your buddies with a fist full of cash throwing it all around on //// trail permits(2states),food,lodging,parking passes, casinos, gas, parts, plane tickes and rental cars and sleds..But thank you for allowing me to take my 15year old son to an amazing place to see amazing things in your mountians, but we are sorry we are not welcomed back by you. and i am sorry if we did any damage to trees anywhere, but keep in mind i do my part in this world for trees,, i grow and transplant hundreds of thousands evergreens for a living all over the usa with my tree farm. we all live in this planet and not all of us do more harm than good.

thanks for your point of view, and hope you forgive me/us

its not that your not welcomed back you are just have some
respect
I run a 800 summit X and have four other sleds I LOVE Speed used to
race Moto cross have the jetskis and wave runners fourwheelers got it all!!
and I live where I am lucky to get to put thousands of miles on a year on them all
the pass is 20 min fom my front door. But we get away from the trails before letting loose
If you look back I saw you guys were coming and posted conditions for you glad you were coming to play with us hoped to take you up on a ride or show you some new country
The point I was making is your gone and the damage is left behind
The pass up top is tree hugger heaven many hawks were ignoring the 25mph
sign and tearing by the ski (tree ) Huggers
I listened to a couple guys bragging about tearing up trees and a creek bottom they were proud
The whole hill with the small trees in front of the warming hut is closed to riding except for the trail on the far right , you were here, hawks tore it up and that is all plum creek logger land, topped trees are useless for timber
all of this is here till a big melt or more snow tree damage is forever
you know what I mean one wrong person sees all that and the local riders take the hit or worse another closure
I was there the whole time the hawks were and the young man on the Flower sled and a couple guys from Alberta were the only ones that were friendly and would talk to you. Not the advertised come ride with us try one out that I read on here.
Please come back and enjoy but treat our back yard like your beloved hawks then well all get along and we wont give the anti's more ammo
Thanks for the time
a two ski from montana

Im sorry mountana sleadhead feels this way.. No one would talk to you???
Come on most of these guys where some of the nicest folks Ive ever met.
I agree that some didnt pay attention to speed limits near the parking lot.
I personally didnt see anyone tearing up any trees or being disrespectful.
Not saying it didn't happen, but I never saw it. I wonder what the damage would have been to have a group of 50 riders on sleds would have done.
I appreciate you and others welcoming us to your backyard, and dont worry I for one wont be back.

Mshd,
My riding partner and myself did follow the speed limits. I would say I travelled about 5 mph, as 25 mph shows no respect when passing the skiers. I am probably guilty of going fast on other parts of the trail but I personally know my limits of control and never exceed them. I want to return safely as well.
Also in the groups that I was in, we all travelled to the right from the warming hut. I was suprised myself to see multiple trails up that hill. But luckily I rode over x-mas with a local and he advised us about Plum Creek property. In the groups I was riding with we respected the area. But there certainly was alot of pressure on top of the pass, Sunday, by many types of outdoor enthusiasts. Thanks for having us, and I will be back to spend more money in your area. Sorry for any bad impressions left.
