Has anyone done this? I am considering putting a shorter track on my 04 1M and 153 rails seem to be easy to come by.

I was thinking 156 with 153 rails. I alreay have some 3.0 pitch drivers and that 16 wide Challenger Extreme looks real good.

We've put a couple M-series suspensions into 1M chassis. Some 153's, and a 162. It is pretty easy, all the mounting points are the same. If you just want to use the rails though, I'm pretty sure the mounts for the front arm are different.

I thought that would be my only problem. Looks like I can get a whole skid pretty cheaply so I might just go that route.

I have 153 rails from a M7 on my KK with a 159 track . Move the skid back 1.5" and run the 8" wheels. Easiest spinning track I have ever owned, no exto's but no ratcheting.

For where the front suspension arm meets the rail you will have to cut the rails and to match the KK rails and bolt on the front susp mount or get a front arm from the 153 skid and put it together with the KK parts.

If you need I can sent you some photos of the changes
