Does a 151 by 15 wide fit under the Phazer?

Did anyone do it ? If so did you gear down?

Full of questions today-----4 feet of fresh pow is to much for the little guy needs more track ---- all it could do was go in the flats full power all the time had to make trails for it on any uphill. And get it unstuck a lot.
I have a 151 lying in the shop if it works:face-icon-small-ton

And yes I know a turbo would help but she is not a aggressive rider so floatation first.

I will let you know .........if I ever get the sled back from the dealer, warrenty work, should have been a one day fix.......????? I am headed in the same thought as you. If the 15 is two wide I am going to trim it down on a table saw. Tracks USA has a 151-14-2.3 but its darn near $700 The phazer seems to have enough grunt to pull a longer track. Dino

I thought it was running 3" pitch drivers under the phazer which would require a 150 or 153, a 151 should be a 2.52 pitch track. You may want to verify before taking it all apart. I think the concept of more track is a good one though.

Yes, it's 2.52. No, a 15 won't fit. Or maybe it sould be... yes, a 15 won't fit. 14.5 will though if you trim 1/2 of the chaincase side so I've been told.

I'm thinking about doing something similar but haven't quite convinced myself yet. And for 151 (if it a moutain version) I might relocate the skid while I had it out to help the approach angle. Might not need extensions if you did that. Like I said, I haven't got that far yet.

Get a nytro 153 take off, lots around. It fits fine, just cut 1/4 inch off each side with a skilsaw and install 3.0 pitch avids on there. It makes a world of difference now, the new maverick is awesome compared to last years apex maverick. With the turbo I see 50+ mph track speed when climbing in the deep stuff! stock gearing mountain lite.

You probably ride at 10,000 feet correct ? So stock gearing would be fine at say 5000 feet. When you say 60 mph track speed you mean on flat ground through fresh snow are on a hill speed because 60 mph up hill seems pretty darn fast, dont turbo apexs run 70 mph topend up hills.

Yup i ride anywhere from 9k to 13k feet so i would think stock would be fine, i wouldnt change it till you ride it to see what its doing i try to do one mod at a time. and yes track speed i was thinking trail/open meadows.
