A friend of mine has me all worked up to help him transplant an 800 ski-doo motor into his 503f chassis since he started riding a 600 hawk. He wants an 800 hawk and thought this project would be more fun the just going and buying one.

If your going to do it make sure you use a newer 800 ho or powertech motor. The older 800 is a gas hog and your miles per ride are diminished so greatly it is not worth the effort. I did it and put my 600 back in after 3 rides. Its actually a easy swap into a 600 chassie, doing it in a 503 will be a little more work not having any heat exchangers but that sould not be a problem.

I have been thinking about doing the same thing with my 03 hawk.
I had problems with my 503 motor last season and think it might be my coil. Hopefully easy fix but not sure.
I would much rather have a 800 in the belly.
Is it possible?
