4 cold, wet, strong, storms coming at us, maybe a little rain at the pass tonight but the snow level is going to drop by the AM. We could get 3 to 5 feet by Christmas in the mountains says Rich Marriot. Here we go...

I'm sure it's all pineapples in North Bend.

that's awesome news...no pineapples at this NB home.....those guys live on the other side of the river/highway....just too far away from the bar somedays....

Just so I don't get accused of being overly optimistic:

"very windy conditions with
moderate to heavy precipitation and significantly rising
snow levels by Sunday."


Hopefully, 'significantly' means rising from 500 feet up to 3000 feet...... not from 2000 up to 7000 feet!

Sunday is looking bleak Better get out before then. It's looking like pineapples again after days of huge snow fall. Hopfully the Avey site is wrong on the long term.

Including: Snoqualmie Pass WA

Today: Occasional showers. Snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches. Snow level 2000 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures 25 to 30. East wind in the passes 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight: Showers likely in the evening then snow and rain developing after midnight. Snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches. Snow level 2500 feet. East wind in the passes around 10 mph shifting to the west 10 to 20 mph after midnight.

Wednesday: Showers...breezy. Snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches. Snow level 2000 feet. Afternoon pass temperatures 25 to 30. West wind in the passes 15 to 25 mph.

I hear you and live on this site but go the the NW Avalance center and look at the long term forcast. They are saying 5000 to 7000 on Sat night and Sunday with a thumping storm and they are usually pretty good. The good news is they are in disagreement including Accu weather, who's going to be right??

We have blown a foot of snow out of the driveway on the pass in the last 24 hours, and it keeps coming down. They closed I-90 down for a short while to do avalanche control work as well.

They have gotten conservative in recent years, over forecasting...
So, based on our location, when we see NOAA forecast 3 - 7 Tuesday, 2 - 4 Tuesday night, 3 - 7 Wednesday, we plan on the short version...

They just updated the nw avey forcast and backed off on the snow levels down to 4500.

I noticed that. That might be a good thing for a day or two to settle this new snow.
