Been der dun dat except with a cpr turbo. Your probably gonna be welding it weekly. The new updated header is a lot stronger & should last longer.I do have a good bud with Dave,s kit on a 04 rx-1. he has 2k miles on the original header & it has not cracked yet!

You have to pull the seat, tank handle bars, shroud, charge pipe, air filter, oil, and water lines pull the heat sheilds then the turbo then the header.

A few hours each way.

There is a solution to cracked headers.

www.turboaddictionparts.com offers very strong replacement Turbo headers for CPR, Alpine, Powderlites, Northeast Turbos, MCX.

Winter is too short.

Thats nice, but it's a $1000.00 solution!

Once a header cracks it's junk, the metal has been over heated and stressed to the point of no return, you can weld it once a week or end the problem it is up to you.

The replacements from the manufacturers are no better for 900.00 and the welds are overheated and under cut before you get them.

These are made from Schedule 10 304 stainless, with 3/8 inch head flange and 1/2 inch turbo flange all 304 stainless, the welding techniques are such as not to overheat the material while assembling these manifolds.

You get what you pay for in this case.
