I'm looking at getting the wife a new rig and was wondering what people are getting for mileage?

On the freeway i get about 20-22 and around town i get about 15-18. By the way I am selling my 2007 GMC 1/2 ton. It is lifted and it is a quad cab.

my bud has a5.3 litre, chipped it gets 28-30 canadian.

My dad's got the 6.0L in his new Z71 (2008) and he said he's been getting 18 on the highway and 14-15 in town with it ... he drives kinda fast though i think.

I have an 07 Z71 crew cab 5.3, and i get 14-15 mpg city and 18-20 highway with gas and 11-12 mpg city 16-17 mpg highway with E85

I have a 07 silverado classic.My compooter says I have avg 17.9 with 12000 on the truck.

Who cares, it's a pickup. Concerned about fuel economy, buy a car or light pickup like a Colorado or Sport Trac, Trailblazer or Escape.

My 06 with a 5.3 got 18.9 this weekend on the interstate 75-80mph. I usually get about 16-17 in town and 22-24 down the high way at 55-60mph. My father in-law just got the new GMC 1500 with the on demand motor that switches from v-4 to v-8 mode and gets around 16 when he drives it. He has a really heavy foot and about the worse driving habits to save gas. I borrowed it for a week and got 20+ in town, 20 down the interstate 75-80mph and 25mpg on a 200 mile leg doing 55-60mph. I should also mention his is a 4 door with topper and 20" stock chevy tires.
