Ok I will take a stab at it. The 600 engine is the same compression for the RMK and the short tracks, so I am sure that there is some good gains at elevation in just raising the compression and tightening the squish. You can get away with alot at high elevation but she will blow if you bring her down low. Not sure if that is what you wanted.

What is considered low. I had .20 thousandths shaved off. What is a safe minimum. Will I be fine around Island Park and West Yellowstone

Thanks. Ya i don't think i have to worry about bringin it down to low elevations. Lowest i think i would ever ride would be about 8000. I think i'm gonna give it a try, i'll let you know what i think
