As the title says. I have installed one in my 06 900 RMK 166" and it appears that it is too close to the coolant line at the back of the silencer. It also appears that it is too close to the chaincase cover (nearly touching one of the cover bolts). Just wondering if this is normal or if this is something i should be concerned about.

P.S Wow is that stock can heavy!!!

Where the Buffalo roam
You should be able to find instuctions/pictures at SLP's website, used heat tape on chaincase cover to ward off potential problems. Added a vent and all is okay. Never hurts to double ck as it does sound a little close.

Did you buy can new? The 05 can part #09-275 won't fit the 06. It comes close but hits the chaincase. The proper Part # for the 06 is 09-278. It fits both years. Learned that the hard way. Now have an 05 can sitting on the shelf.

Where there is snow
The 05 is different than the 06 BUT it will work. What we did on a friend of mines was hammer in on the can near the chain case area with a rubber mallet then rapped the can with header tape, ran it all last year no problem. The can was free to him so why not use it.
