What the hell is a painted tunnel option? is this powered coated or some cheap *** knock off?
Painted Tunnel or Powerder coated on 2016 snowchecks?

From what I understand tunnel is powdercoated and rails are painted
Tunnel will be powder coated on snow check models.
Where did that pic come from? It says painted on the website and after seeing a painted 15 tunnel with a few rides on it I am gonna pass unless its it is powdercoated.
I'm wondering if the orange is painted and the black versions are powder coated. I really doubt they did the bottom of the tunnel too but maybe someone else has info on that.
Looks like it is powder coated underneath as well, this should help shed snow weight.
On the Polaris chat board they stated its all powder coat, not "paint" and it will not cover the coolers. I'm pretty sure the lower lip edges are powder coated but not the center where the cooler lays (the top).

If the paint holds up like I've seen the painted 15 rails, I do. I don't want it chipping and peeling all over the place.
Whatever's on my 15 tunnel and rails seems fine. Powdercoated rails chip too if there's rocks hitting them. Also it's a snowmobile, not an F40 - so a few chips on the undercarriage still falls in to the "who cares" catagory for me.
