I would love to find a 11 Polaris pro chassis and stick a 900 cat motor in it, do you think it will fit? may need a custom pipe, I know its heaver but there is a lot of electrical stuff one could remove. Any one with a pro chassis?

Damm my fumbly fingers, sorry for the bad rep....That would be sick. isnt the pro motor kind of high in the chassis as compared to the rest? therefore you shouldnt have a problem doing like a 900 efi. prolly going to have to brace the schit out of it cause the tq of it will prolly tear up that chassis. if you look at like ski-dooin it he mounts all of his electronics below the motor to keep it clean looking.

if you do a carb one you can rid of most of the wires.. looks amazing underneath.

and i think its a killer idea. if you got a good running 900 to put into it, should be a ripper.

fitting pipe might be a pita, but there are worse things in life. hell, just build a motor plate and should be a somewhat easy swap, the pro motor has a LOT of space around it, so should be to troublesome.

Yep, motor plate and custom pipe and it'll fit. I'd find a used 1000cc or 1150cc big bore built for a single pipe, 200HP on the cheap.

I looked at one yesterday and a 900 will fit, I do have a great running 900 carb,motor runs so good I will never sell it. Now I just need to find a pro. Im thinking of buying one this spring/summer and selling the motor and wiring as a complete assy. What do you think a motor/electrical and pipe would be worth?

They will be worth more in the winter when there is a higher demand than in the summer when people have time to deal with them.

I think the 900 would be a great choice, lighter than a 1000, less rotating mass as well.

If you did it now you could get a pretty premium price for the motor as long blocks are currently on back-order from Polaris.
