2013 Pro RMK Seat Question

I was looking to upgrade my seat on my 2012 Pro RMK 800, and the seat that would match the best appears to be the one on the 2013 600 Pro RMK. Unfortunately, when I go on the Polaris fiche (http://parts.polarisind.com/Browse/Browse.asp), the same part number comes up as the 800 Pro RMK, but the literature clearly shows a black, red, white seat versus the black, grey, white seat of the 800.

Anyone know what part number I am looking for? Below is a picture from Polaris's website of the 600 Pro with the red/white seat, which is the seat I want.

Thanks!

Just go to your dealer and get them to order it.

I was hoping to find someone that has this seat already and can post the actual part number (there is a sticker on the back underneath of the seat with a part number and data matrix, at least this is the case on my 2012).

With the dealers in my area, I have no faith in them to get it right. I always try to have part numbers before going to them as I usually have to walk them through the fiche's on their computers to find anything and in this case the fiche is wrong.

Thanks!

I agree with you. And good luck!

I feel your pain. I talked on the phone to a parts counter person at a Polaris dealer tell me Polaris doesn't make a Pro RMK. I told him well you have two in your show room and I have two in my shop.
And last week I had my son pick up a riser block for my Pro at a different dealer and they gave him one for a Vertical Escape. Back to the dealer.

There is one for sale or trade on here in the PRO section. The directory thread Mountain Horse started.

I just happen to have that exact machine. There is a sticker on the back side of the seat.......2685260-070, plus the manufactured date.
I tried it on a couple sites and came up blank, so hopefully you have better luck.:yo:

Thanks Flying Dutchman!

You are right, it doesn't seem like that part number is in Polaris's online system, so I will probably have to talk to the dealer about it to somehow get it to Polaris's attention.

For clarification, I am interested in the 600 Pro RMK 2013 seat. The part number listed for that sled is 2685266 which is the same as the 800 Pro RMK 2013 and the description is "Asm., Seat, Blk, Blk Crb, Wht, RMK". However, the 800 seat does not have red in it, unlike the 600 seat (which is why I posted the image)...probably a simple error on someone's part, forgetting to update the seat part number when creating the 600 fiche.

Thanks for your help!

I ordered the orange/white/black 2013 RMK Assault seat for my 2012 Orange/Pro and had to go to the dealer and get them to order it.

Can you mount the 2013 seat on 2012 with the same bracket or do you need 2013 bracket for 2013 seat?

My bad. I read on here in a different thread that they don't work, but you have first hand info that it does. Saves a few bucks.

No you don't. I have a 2013 seat on my 2011 and it mounts up just fine. Will bolt right up to the 2012 seat post too.

If you wanted it a little taller, throw a couple of washers between the seat and the post.

Yeah, if you REALLY want it taller, you can add a couple washers.....and longer bolts.

You could do what Phatty has suggested, but then you would be bending your brand new seat down about 1 1/4" to bolt up to the old 12 post. You also will be losing 1 1/4" of height from the seat on the back.

are the 2012 posts 1"-1 1/4" lower than the 2011 seat posts? thought they were the same height...

Yes, I had a hard time finding the right size spacers. Polaris 2013 posts are back ordered till the end of month, plus they are $75
