should you need vent kits on the xm

on all of my sleds in the past ( 99 power special 136 ,02 rmk 156, 07 m7 153, 08 154 xp, 10 154 etec xp) i have blown belts untill i installed a vent kit, i have heard that the new clutch cover has a self cooling shroud and a vent kit might not help. any word on this?

IMO....leave the clutch side alone. Venting the exhaust side won't hurt anything and may help release exhaust heat.
The clutch cover/duct DOES move a lot of air out the footwell. I have no doubt in my mind it helps....how much I can't say.

I have always put on xxxmod rods kits on my summits even 2012 (but did not use the tower vent on the 2012) I had an xm and put 3000km on it and no vent kit, no issues, and wont put one on this season...as winter brew says the clutch cover works....so no need!
