Clutch body panel insulation?

Did anyone notice at a viewing, that the clutches were rubbing on foam the was attached to the body panel? Think they will reduce the thickness of foam or just remove it? i guess i wouldnt think it is nessesary! Think it would just keep heat in!

that is there to keep the HP down to that 177 level. Remove the friction from the rubbing and the motor puts out over 240 hp........
