IMO......not much to choose from ehh?

An 800 twin and an 1100 4 stroke, that's it? Ya, ya, I knkow they have different packages, shocks, track length, color, but only 2 powerplants? Kind of sucks doesn't it?

Pretty lame if you ask me, beginning of the end?

I haven't seen any other threads regarding this, to me this was quite a surprise.

Yep, even too expensive for the average person starting out in their career with a decent paying job. At least they can play in the used market, but without the kids the snowmobile industry is like Social Security. How much did the EPA add to the price tag?

I think they have as good of engine choice as anyone out there. M 1100 with 120ish hp = 600 2 smokes, M800 2 smoke with 160ish hp, and M1100 turbo with 175ish hp. Sounds like plenty of selection to me. More than poo offers with just a 600 and 800 2 smoke.

There is also a 500 and 570 fan, maybe not in the mountain line up but there still there. It would be nice to have a lower HP cheaper mt sled avalible for kid or entry level riders.

turbo and non turbo 4 stroke and a 800 that u can get a 170=hp with a pipe set up and one of the strongest 2stroke turbo motor in a new chassie.and i looks like u can lose 20lbs with a can on the new ones.

The only thing lame so far is this thread.

Why would that be? Is one not allowed to voice their opinion? Why is it when someone is just stating their opinion someone like you has to post and try to make trouble, guess you must have nothing else to do. lol

Got to put down other's opinions to feel better about yourself I guess. Now that is lame!

Got something constructive to say say it or shut up!:loco:

ummmm....a couple things. Sledding didn't become a rich mans sport this year with the release of the proclimb. Yes price is up, but regardless, snowmobiling is expensive. It has been for awhile.
Second...as for lack of choices, all niches are accounted for in a mountain sled 600 class (1100), 800 is there and the 1100 turbo. What the hell you want? I'm with insaneboltrounder.

A 600 class 4 stroke that weighs about 100 pounds more than a 600 2stroke!!! AWESOME!!!! LOL

Yes, sledding is expensive, but you can buy GREAT used sleds for the price of a new 500-600 class for the price they were 15 years ago, and IMO, a 07 or 08 sled is way better than anything out there 15 years ago. Still expensive though.

Exactly. There is no "intermediate" in this lineup (like, the kind of sled most guys who don't know better buy their wives!), it's just an underpowered pig & two strong sleds.

Are people REALLY going to buy that POS non turbo 1100? I don't see why it's even in the lineup.
Don't get me wrong, I'm stoked to run the T1100, but a 120 hp sled that weighs well over 500... who is the buyer for that? (aside from some idiot who doesn't know better, like the people who buy stock yamahas)

The 8 & the 1100T I'm sure will sell, but they really did eliminate the "variety" from the lineup, of course, they've been doing that for years, so nothing new there either.

Do all of you really think that Cat has been working on this sled for 5 or 6 years and is going to release something that will underperform or not perform as good as the current M chassis. You are all nuts. While I am not the happiest about the 4-stroke weight, we will have the best 800 on the market along with a rigid but not super light chssis.
If this sled was 410 lbs and big horsepower, you all would complain that it would fold in half the first time they are jumped. I will ride the hell out of my 2012 800 cause I know the motor won't let me down and the chassis looks to be bulletproof. See you all in the forest.

?

Maybe no 600 because theres not enough market for them? There's quiet a lot of choice there. They didn't release a 600 " it's the beginning of the end" I don't think there's alot of 600s snochecked. Maybe there will be one in the fall.

I'm not ready to comment on the lineup until I get to ride a couple of them, but who was the brain child behind the ProClimb name? God lord its terrrible. After all the cool names Cat has come up with over the years, they stick us with this garbage? I know its just a name, but nevertheless, it sounds retarded.

I think they have great lineup this year. I like the choices.

120 hp, 160 hp, and 180 hp

Who cares about a 600? Seriously!

I work at a Cat dealer and all we ordered the last two years was M8s. I can count the people that have asked about a 600 on one hand.

This year we will be ordering a bunch of the 4 stroke turbos. Guys looking for big power are going to love this engine.

In the mountains, why would you buy anything less then a 800? Maybe a 700 if anyone still made one.

Really, the only thing I see needing a 600 for is the rental market. And, IMO the rental places are going to like the 4 strokes better with a lower cost to run them and electric start.

Why waste your time on a 600? Its not like someone is going to have an easier time learning on a 600 as opposed to 800.

Also, the depreciation is awful on the 600s. We can't give them away around here. So, saving money on the initial cost of 600 really doesn't do you any favors.

Just man up and get an 800 people!
