Why are you still messing with the Boost T and Boost Gauge? The EBC works and is much easier than the boost T.

we will be trying the newest boost based version when it is ready. We need the sled on display at a couple of events prior to it being ready so we are going this way to start

Going to install Mo Flow center hood vent and BD-X venting in the front bumper to assist in air flow to the intercooler. We will also be installing 2 cool vents in the side panels for more air flow and cooling.

Venting

Ok so we have some venting in place now. We will be ramping up progress but have been busy with other stuff so not many hours in the shop.

The foam they use under the hood is glued in and a real pain to get out. I tried heat, no heat. Not really any way to get it out without leaving a bunch of glue residue. I have found the best way to get all the glue out is power wash under the hood. where the foam was leaves black patches but I just fog a little white primer underneath for a uniform look.

Many of you already know, but for those that don't, the difference in weight with the plenum out and all the foam is amazing. The foam they use now is not that big of a weight deal it is more for sound than anything else but for the turbo sled it holds heat under the hood so it has to go.

BD-X Bumper Venting

We put BD-X venting in the bumper for more airflow to the intercooler:

We put a turbosmart fuel pressure gauge in the key hole and installed the two cool vents and some Arctic Cat knee pads.

Can't do much more until we get more parts.

Skid Performance exhaust outlet vent installed and the Float Evol R shocks are on.

The upper shock mounting bolts required grinding to reduce the OD so we could mount the new Evol R shocks. There seems to be some variance in the mounting bolts in the frame. The part number has not changed for years but I measured the shaft size on a 2006 M7 at 9.40mm and the R.H. side of this sled at a full 10.00mm. The sleeves in the production shocks are 10.00mm and can easily accomodate the wide production tolerances.

The reducers in the Evol R shocks are a tight 9.40mm.
