why so much difference in amount from 2005 to 2010 ??

This is how I understand it, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

'05 didn't have reverse and had a small case due to no reverse

07 had mechanical reverse which made the case bigger needing more fluid

09-10 has electric reverse which did away with the mechanical gears but they didn't resize the case which means more fluid than 09 due to the loss of reverse gears

Its hard to say. Cat says that the amount must be very accurate, otherwise damage will result. For $15 bucks, Id get it right.

07' cases also take 12oz. biggest problem i see with overfilling is the extra oil will likely leak out the groove in the bolt that holds the secondary on for venting the case, which ends up on the clutches= day ruined...
