Pilot jet

I was thinking I would drop my pilot jets 1 size and see if helps out my poor fuel mileage any. Right now I think my carbs are setup with 45 pilots. What size increments do the jets come in (5's,10's?). Any body found a good combination of jets to run in their '01 700 for an elevation of 6000-9000ft. The carbs are the mikuni flat slides btw... not keihens.

You should play w/ your slides & main jets for better mileage. The pilots should help w/ low end snap but I doubt it would help much on mileage.

Pilots won't change mileage.

My 660 improved dramatically with just dropping the needles 1 clip.

If you can do that... depends on how the machine is running.
