Went for a ride on Dec 27th and my sled ran like a champ for most of the day then all of a sudden instead of the usual rpms all i could get out of it was about 6500. Noticed it also seemed to be on high idle all day and also oil on the clutch cover. Any ideas? Was kinda thinking maybe a reed? Never had a problem with this sled before. Approx 2200miles on it. Still idles fine just when you lay in to it the powers not there.

Check your carb boots for air leaks

ccheck and clean exhaust valves. Sometimes they carbon up and hang up.

Check carb boots 3x, but also check crank seal by spraying carb cleaner at idle behind clutch and see if idle changes, also should check compression thats a lot of miles for the single ring pistons with no ring changes could be flaked. hope this helps
